About the Event
Different from every other plastic documentary you’ve seen, The Story of Plastic presents a cohesive timeline of how we got to our current global plastic pollution crisis and how the oil and gas industry has successfully manipulated the narrative around it.
From the extraction of fossil fuels and plastic disposal to the global resistance fighting back, The Story of Plastic is a life-changing film depicting one of the world’s most pressing environmental issues.
As part of Circular Economy Week, Plastic-Free Hackney are pleased to be able to invite you to a screening of this powerful film in the comfort of your own home. We will then reconvene on the 16th June at 7pm for a panel discussion and Q&A session (guests TBC).
How this will work!
There's been some confusion in the past when we have run an online screening so hopefully the following instructions will ensure there are no hiccups! If you are at all unsure please do get in touch.
1. Please register via this Eventbrite page, this should be one entry per viewing eg if you are going to watch it with a friend on the same device you only need to register once.
2. When you sign up you will be sent a link to watch the film. This should give you plenty of time to watch the film and then join in the discussion on the 16th June.
3. The link will be delivered to you at the email address you use to RSVP here. We will reconvene at 19:00 on 16th June for a panel discussion / Q&A. You will receive a separate link for that event alongside the streaming link.
NB The link to the film will expire at 19:00 hours on 16th June - ie the time the panel discussion begins so you need to watch it before then!
I hope that is clear! Like I said any questions please do get in touch hello@plasticfreehackney.com
